Cynosure Pulsed Dye Laser

The Cynosure PhotoGenica V-Star Pulsed Dye Laser was originally designed for the removal of skin lesions composed of blood vessels. Over the years, many new and exciting uses for it have been found. The laser works by emitting a powerful yellow light which selectively destroys targeted blood vessels, leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. Some temporary bruising can occur with erythema (redness) following treatment, but rarely lasts more than ten days. The Cynosure V-Star can be used for the treatment of a full range of vascular lesions including:

1. Removal of port-wine birthmarks
2. Treatment of recalcitrant warts
3. Reduction of stretch marks
4. Improvement of scars
