This is an extremely well demarcated lesion of superficial spreading basal cell carcinoma. With its almost thread-like border, the Borst-Jadassohn variety of basal cell carcinoma would be suggested. Basal cell tumors are the most common type of skin cancer. They typically occur on light exposed areas of the body, but can be found anywhere.
