The typical linear vesicular pattern of this lesion is strongly suggestive of a contact dermatitis from poison ivy. The human body cannot make straight lines like this. Contact dermatitis is certainly one of the more common skin problems dermatologists encounter. The cause may be something the patient is allergic to or something that is a primary irritant.
