This is a good picture of the butterfly rash of lupus which occurs over the cheeks with a swinging up over the bridge of the nose and some in the inner canthus of the eye in this young child. This presentation is usually a part of the acute lupus erythematosis syndrome with fever, arthralgias and systemic complications.
